Onboarding class and general meeting, September 15
Onboarding for every official new to FLOA runs 6 to 7 pm, followed by the general membership meeting from 7 to 8 pm.

You do not need to have played
FLOA trains you and works you into a crew. Certification runs through USA Lacrosse and registration through the FHSAA, and plenty of our officials had never officiated anything before they started.
You do not have to wait for spring
High school, youth, club and travel lacrosse all need officials, across summer tournaments, fall ball and winter ball. Decide in March and you are weeks from a game, not a year.
One winter deadline that matters
FHSAA high school registration closes 5 February 2027 and the rules exam has a single window. Everything else runs year round.
